Oh, weird. I’ve still got the regular layout. I wonder if they’re doing a test? Usually there’s a &ga.fjkdlgjdf;ksafl;dstringofgibberish at the end of the URL if there’s something afoot, though.

Doesn’t stuff switch sides every now and then anyway? Ye Oldde-Bå lls Ancient Jaloppe had a left-side layout, IIRC. There’s been bad changes afoot (hello, TOO MANY ADS), but this one seems tolerable.

I’d be more sanguine about layout changes if the site itself worked . It would nice if they focused on fixing the numerous errors, bugs and glitches that make this site the dumpster fire it is before  they try to make it “pretty”.

They do A/B testing I think, supposed to be consistent for each user. They did a post a bit ago:

Also, if you’re ever in the SW Ohio area, the offer to come check out a bunch of British cars at a museum I volunteer at still stands. They’ve got a bunch of cool stuff, like a Peerless GT and like eight Austin Minis, more Triumphs than I can remember, and like 20 Jags. Some cool rare stuff too.

Yep, that’s what they do. I’ve got nothing but love for the web team—they’re super helpful and open about what they do around here. ( Now, the ideas of the executives above them at the moment...that’s the hardest of nos, bud. )

Ooh, I love cool rare stuff, but I’m super far from Ohio and my travel budget is <$0 nowadays. Maybe if I can sneak in Dusty’s luggage for SOFR somehow? (I keep intending to have a Weekend at Mort’s up there, but again, the brokeness is real when you can’t find a job and everyone forgets you exist.)
